Bringing your puppy home

We raise the puppies in our home.   They are exposed to new scents and experiences daily and are familiar with the noises and energy that come with the hustle and bustle of the daily life of a busy family!  Your puppy will come to you with plenty of life experience and ready to learn what is expected in their new homes.

Starting at 3-4 weeks of age, a puppy's instinct is to leave their nest to relieve themselves.  We make sure that there is are puppy pads available for them as soon as they have the desire to keep their nest clean.   Usually, in a matter of a couple of weeks, our puppies are using the puppy pad exclusively. We introduce the artificial grass potty mat.  their new homes an easy.    You can also begin the transition to an outside potty area immediately if you choose.

We are firm believers in crate training for happy and healthy puppies and families.  It's important for puppies to have a space where they feel safe and comfortable, their den.  We begin to familiarize puppies with both a travel carrier and a standard crate from an early age.   When your puppy comes home, they will be familiar with a crate and will have been sleeping in their crate with their litter mates through the night. They will be sent home a small puppy blanket that carries the scent of their litter mates.  This soothes them. They may cry for a night or two as they acclimate to their new environment, but rest assured they will soon settle in to their new den and their new home.

To ensure our puppies go to loving homes, we start the process with a phone conversation to discuss your family and expectations.  For those interested, ear cropping is available at an additional fee of $300-350.00, performed at 5 to 7 weeks depending on weight. We will guide you through posting ears and recommend suitable food for cartilage development, though we are not responsible for final results.
