Our story: more than just puppies

Hi, we are Sonja and Roger Yates, ethical dog breeders dedicated to raising healthy and beautiful miniature schnauzer puppies with excellent temperaments. Our mission is for each Grassy Creek Schnauzer family to be as thrilled with their new puppy as we are with our own schnauzers. We live on a farm in Locust Grove, Arkansas, that has been in our family for over forty years. It's home not just to our furbabies, but also to black angus cattle, donkeys, goats, chickens, and more – you might say our own little petting zoo!

What makes Grassy Creek Schnauzers unique? Our home is their home, and they are our fur babies – they truly rule the house! Our puppies are exceptionally well-socialized, benefiting from daily handling from birth and visits from our grown children and grandchildren, ages 4 to 20. They are also accustomed to being around many kinds of animals on our farm. We work closely with our veterinarian, conducting genetic testing on all our parent dogs to ensure they are clear of genetic disorders and will not pass them down to their puppies. All puppies come with a certificate of health and a 2-year health guarantee.

We understand that purchasing a puppy is a significant responsibility. We ensure all potential families are ready for the lifelong commitment of caring for a new puppy before moving forward. During their first 8 weeks with us, we provide the foundational care and socialization needed for them to become confident and happy schnauzers when they join your family.
